NRP Washington, D.C.
What It Commits Us To
NRP does not endorse, oppose or campaign for any candidate, party or political movement in either country, and does not make political contributions.
Governments change on both sides of the bridge. Our programs, partnerships and commitments are designed to outlast any single administration or election cycle.
We engage government departments, universities, chambers of commerce, hospitals and civil-society organizations on the same terms — factually, diplomatically and on the record.
Membership, services and programs are open to every Pakistani-American and every friend of the partnership, regardless of province of origin, faith, background or political view.
Our public statements are factual and diplomatic. We correct the record where it is wrong and supply what is missing — we do not campaign, and we do not take sides in domestic politics.
Membership contributions and sponsorships fund programs and events. Financial stewardship sits with the Treasurer, and is reported to the executive committee.
A community organization that is seen to belong to one party can only be heard by one party. Our independence is what lets us sit with any administration, any institution and any community on either side of the bridge.
The dignity and representation of Pakistani-Americans, the strength of the Pakistan–United States relationship, and the welfare of the communities we serve. Those are not political questions.
